Antoni Gaudí (1852-1926)

Antoni Gaudí was born in Reus in Catalonia. He was exposed to nature and construction at a young age, as both his parents were metalsmiths. He studied arquitecture at La Escola Tecnica Superior d'Arquitectura in Barcelona and began immediately working in Barcelona and around Catalonia. Gaudí was a leader of the "Modernisme" movement in Spanish architecture.
